As I have mentioned above Penguin Random House is purchasing Simon & Schuster. On 25 November 2020, Penguin Random House agreed to purchase American Publisher Simon & Schuster from ViacomCBS for $2,175 billion. This merger is an advantage for both the publishing house as founder of Simon & Schuster got a huge amount and Penguin Random House got rights of books published by Simon & Schuster. But this merger is disadvantage for those publishing houses which are recently opened because they might struggle to get authors who wants to publish their book when there is a merger of two major publication houses.
