Recently, a Motorola smartphone with model number XT2041-1 surfaced online. Which is rumoured to be the Moto G8 Power. The report came from the database of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The same moto device also passed through the Wi-Fi Alliance in October.
According to the FCC documents, The front of the device measures 165mm, which suggests the device might sport a 6.2-inch or 6.3-inch display. Moreover, the documents confirm that the device will be fueled by a 5,000mAh battery. And may run on Android 10 out of the box.
However, the documents didn’t say anything about the smartphone’s name. But it is rumoured that it could be the Moto G8 Power. Further, Xda’s Editor-in-chief Mishaal tweeted that the G8 power code-name is “Sofia”. He also mentioned that the device seems to be built on the same platform as the G8 Plus i.e, Snapdragon 665.
If the smartphone is real, then it would be the successor of this year’s Moto G7 Power. For reference, the Moto’s G Power series is known for the longer battery life and Turbocharging. For the G7 Power, It claims to give up to 3 days of battery life. So, we can expect longer battery life and turbocharge from the G8 power.
For now, we have limited information about the device, and as traditionally Moto launches its G series in India. So, we can expect this smartphone to be launched in the Indian market. For the price, the device could launch somewhere around Rs 15,000 as it is a mid-range smartphone.
