Realme has announced its first smartphone of 2020, Realme 5i to launch in India for 9 January. CEO of Realme Mobiles Madhav Sheth announced the launch of the device by phone’s Flipkart listing on Twitter. Realme’s I series is aimed for budget users. The 5i will be the successor of last year’s Realme 3i.
As per the e-commerce platform listing, the device will pack a massive 5,000mAh battery and quad rear camera. The camera setup looks pretty much similar to the Realme 5 series phones. Which includes an Ultra-wide angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, macro and a portrait lens.
The Realme 5i is also being teased Realme Vietnam Facebook page. In the post reiterating a launch on January 6, and also reveals Blue and Green colour variants of the device. So, it is possible that the smartphone will arrive in India with same colour variants.
Realme 5i Specs
The device is expected to boast a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. The device would be powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 4GB Ram and 64GB onboard storage. In the camera department, the phone will feature 12 + 8 + 2 + 2 MP quad-camera as mentioned above. In the selfie front, it may sport an 8MP selfie camera.
As the Realme 5i tagline says “the Stylish Powerhouse” the device is claimed to give a good battery life. The company hasn’t talked anything about the charger, the device may ship with a micro USB port. Which would support 10W fast charging just like the Realme 5.
