Meet Robert Hrzic, Author of Rogue Flag the new exciting spy thriller Novel Released on the May 29 2020.
-Now, Robert, I understand your novel is both an ebook and printed book. Tell us more about yourself and your book
The book is set in the near future where NATO and the SCO are in a new Cold War. In the midst of all this, a deranged populist steals nuclear warheads from four of the UN Security Council members for the intent of starting his own micronation. With the world on the brinksmanship, a group of operatives must locate the warheads before this Cold War turns in World War III with three nuclear armed sides.
-Wow, that’s my favorite kind of Novels! What inspired you to write this book?
I’ve always been interested in geopolitics and I decided to make an example of the worst possible scenario in global tensions. Something that would make a person what it would be like when the world hangs in the balance.
-That’s really interesting, I believe the subject is actually gaining some momentum when it comes to general interest. What was the main challenge you faced when creating your book?
The main challenge I faced was making sure each of my chapters reached 10 pages at least. I kind of have a system. XD
-Hahaha that’s organized! I operate the same way actually, but sometimes I made some chapters longer to compensate for the little ones. How do you stand out from your competition?
I tend to make covers that really capture the eye. A lot of authors have a rather basic book cover, I tend to make the cover a little more eye catching as it gives the potential reader a glimpse of what the book is about. A picture is worth 1000 words.
-Very That! Are you a huge reader yourself? And what do you usually read? Any favorites?
Yes, I am a reader. My favourite books are the Lord of the Rings series and the Hobbit. I love many fantasy, sci fi and thriller books.
-Love those, my ultimate favorites list right there. Tell us, what is your next step as an author?
I aspire to be a writer. I hope to continue writing and publishing books. I also plan on publishing fantasy and sci fi books, a long side thriller books.
-Well I think that will get you more word of mouth and reach to larger audiences, Awesome! Do you have any tips or advice for other aspiring indie authors?
Be sure to always check your grammar and spelling after you finish writing. Then I suggest you also come up with a good cover. Then after you’ve independently published your book (I suggest on Amazon), be sure to put on Goodreads as well and market your book throughout social media and everywhere. Remember to be consistent. That’s how you get readers.
-I totally agree! Is there anything else you would like to add?
First, I would like to thank Vigilante 360 for giving me this opportunity, it really means a lot to me. I would also like to thank my illustrator, Sara, for the wonderful way she drew my cover, I would not be here without her.
That’s awesome, thank you Robert Hrzic for those great insights! We all wish you the best of luck, and we look forward to seeing your next piece of work.
