Meet Marsha L Ceniceros, Author of Sadana 999 the new exciting Sci-Fi Novel Released on the 15th November 2015.
-Now, Marsha, I understand your novel is in print and e-book format. Tell us more about yourself and your book
I am a prolific writer with novels that span many genres including science fiction, fantasy, thrillers, and horror. My writing career started with poetry over twenty-seven years ago. My sci-fi novel Sadana 999 set off into the future where Alien crafts fell from the sky, unexpected and mysterious events become common place. Secret government experiments, greed, war and disease leads off into four generations.
-Impressive! What inspired you to write this book?
My love of the imagination, as a child this is place where anything and everything is possible. These stories I have preserved in my mind for years, due to my childhood abuse. I lacked self-esteem and It wasn’t until I was older that I became aware of Steven Allan Spielberg. He is an inspiration with a natural gift to reach the depths of one’s imagination. Therefore, I had to try or my dreams would eventually perish.
-That’s awesome! What was the main challenge you faced when creating your book?
The fact I was ill within that time period. Sadana 999 was seven years of writing and twenty-five re-writes.
-Wow! You really put a lot of work into it! How do you stand out from your competition?
My reviews are amazing across the cyberspace. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads and many other websites. How many authors can write sci-fi with poetic flare, and keep the reader’s attention? This is a component of one Book Review, by Tracy A. Fischer for Readers’ Favorite. I quote: I definitely enjoyed reading Sadana 999. Author Marsha L. Ceniceros has done a great job in writing a book that readers just won’t be able to put down! Her world creation ability is fantastic and setting the story in a futuristic Alaska is fantastic, both familiar and not. Her ability to create characters that readers will be able to connect with, even in such a futuristic setting, is truly the mark of a great author. Much of her work has a poetic lilt to it and is a joy to read. I am pleased to recommend Sadana 999 to any reader who enjoys a unique work of science fiction.
-Are you a huge reader yourself? And what do you usually read? Any favorites?
Yes I am, I love Indie writers. Richard Raven and Richard Alan Long, authors of Wicked Way, The Haunted Ones and many others. D.J. Doyle is a favorite, from horror to comedy horror. Biographies are another favorite. Etched in Sand: A true story of child abuse. Psychological thrillers, Poetry. I will read several genres.
-That’s great! Tell us, what is your next step as an author?
To continue writing, I don’t know what the future will bring.
-Do you have any tips or advice for other aspiring indie authors?
Never be afraid to try something fresh. I personally feel there are no rules nor endings within the mental imagery. This should apply to the creation of storytelling. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are to chase those dreams. We may not be able to see them all visualize, however, one dream is all it takes no matter how big or small. Be those characters you create, make your audience feel, breathe, live and taste the scene of your universe.
-Very that! Is there anything else you would like to add?
There are many bad and great aspects of writing, I can’t show them all here. I advise to please be aware of who is chosen to edit your work. I can’t convey enough how important it is to double check your work after it is edited. There has been many times as a new author myself, I continued to discover errors after I paid for editing services. We learn as we go and if everything fails, what the hell, do it all over again.
That’s awesome, thank you Marsha Ceniceros for those great insights! We all wish you the best of luck, and we look forward to seeing your next piece of work.
