Shashi tharoor praises pollywood

Shashi Tharoor is an Indian politician, writer and former international diplomat who has been serving as Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, since 2009. He was formerly Under-Secretary General of the United Nations and contested for the post of Secretary-General in 2006. Shashi tharoor has wrote many books and one of the book is “An Era of Darkness: The British Empire in India” Is Featured in the Punjab movie “Uda Aida”.

So this book is spotted by one the Shashi tharoor follower and shared a tweet with Shashi tharoor, on this note Shashi tharoor was surprised to see his book in the film and wrote “So glad that Punjabi cinema (is that Pollywood for Punjab or Jollywood for Jullundur?) is depicting characters who read books! No one in Bollywood seems to have the time for such mundane pursuits…”

The battle of belonging

Recently Shashi tharoor also announced his upcoming book “The Battle of Belonging” through his Instagram and wrote that “magnum opus” book on the theory, evolution and practice of nationalism and it’s amoung the most solidly researched and passionately-argued works will be out next month.
