Wounds will always Remain if you hold on the chains from your past.

Wounds remain

Meet Yahne Sneed, Author of Wounds Remain the new exciting New Adult Fiction Novel Released on November 2018.

-Now, Yahne, I understand your novel is both ebook and print book formats. Tell us more about yourself and your book

I am born in Newark, NJ raised by a single mother. I believe it is important to share your life experiences to help others through the difficult times in their life. So that is what I did and being raise by a single black mother present me with many challenges to face. For me to make sense of what I been through I decided to write to express my thoughts. My thoughts became poetry, and from poetry to a Novel that many will come to love. My Novel is about three high school students who faced many life setbacks and challenges, but with the support and love from family and friends they were able to rise from the ashes called life.  Wounds will always Remain if you hold on the chains from your past.

-What inspired you to write this book?

I watched and read a book called The Outsiders, and I was fascinated with the storyline, characters, and the emotion the movie left me feeling. I decided during the time I started writing to get ideas from movie version of The Outsiders. What started out as inspiration quickly became the theme of my Novel; To love all regardless of our difference and challenges because everyone has a story to tell.

-What was the main challenge you faced when creating your book?

The main challenge I faced when creating Wounds Remain was editing my novel. I had assistance in editing my novel because I had a hard time choosing what I needed to take out and what I needed to add in. To have fresh eyes and fresh opinions about what is needed or help Wounds Remain become a great success.

-How do you stand out from your competition?

I stand out from my competition because my novel is mostly mirrors my inner thought on how I see the world, how  I experience the world, and each character in the story has a piece of my personality that I want to share about myself; the good the bad and the ugly.

-Tell us, what is your next step as an author?

I am in the process of starting my second novel. No name as of yet, but it is part two of Wounds Remain.

-Do you have any tips or advice for other aspiring indie authors?

Do what feels right for you and take your time to get it right. Also, never give up on your dreams. If you don’t believe in you, don’t expect any one else to.

-Is there anything else you would like to add?

I was told that I won’t achieve much in life, but I want to inspire many that was told the same thing. My goal is to use my novel to reach many people in the world to empower many to not be ashamed of where they come from or what they had to face. To spread peace and love everywhere.

That’s awesome, thank you Yahne Sneed for those great insights! We all wish you the best of luck, and we look forward to seeing your next piece of work.
